Hand Lettering Made Easy with Chandan Mahimkar - 2

  An online workshop for beginners in lettering. 

Chandan Mahimkar is sharing his process, techniques and knowledge gained from several years of working as a professional lettering artist and typographer. Chandan is a 2-time Goodtype and Typism book artist. 

He runs his own design & lettering studio handling work for both large & small businesses, ad agencies and magazines. A former CCO + Design Head of L&K Saatchi & Saatchi - India, he is now a faculty at Ecole Intuit Lab, Mumbai. Chandan shares his design & lettering knowledge through workshops in India & internationally. 

 Why Hand Lettering?  The beauty of hand lettering is its flexibility and adaptability. It can be found in so many forms and so many different types of media that it appeals to almost every audience. From whimsical to elegant, and old school to new school – there is hand lettering style for everyone.

What participants will learn?  In this workshop Chandan will teach the process of ‘Composition – Style – Consistency’ in creating your own unique lettering. These are detailed tips and techniques he has learnt over the years as a professional lettering artist. Learn about various lettering styles. Learn a step-by-step method of hand lettering. More importantly learn to compose, add style and consistency to your lettering creations. Participant will also learn useful lettering lingo.

Each participant will get personal feedback from Chandan on their lettering piece.

- HB, 2B Pencils & an Eraser

- Black Micro tip pens and sketch pens

- 6-10 A4 sheets of paper

- 2-3 A4 Tracing sheets (optional)
